#01 JD.COM:

JD 618 Beauty Pre-sales Increased 112% Year On Year

Since the 618 pre-sale started on 24th May, JD broke its record through a new high. Among all the categories, the volume pre-sale of beauty products increased by 112% year on year. The number of users participating in the pre-sale of beauty products also DOUBLED compared to last year, and the volume of the FIRST 24-hour pre-sale order increased by 242% year on year.


Premium brands are still the first choice for beauty lovers to stock up during JD 618.


The beauty gift set is the most popular choice during the pre-sale, with 127% year-on-year by volume if we look into the detail. Among the top performances, facial masks, liquid foundations, makeup removers are doing exceptionally well.



#02 TMALL  :

Tmall 618 First-Day Pre-sale Exceeds Expectations

The launching time of the Tmall 618 pre-sale this year has been adjusted from the traditional 0:00 to 20:00. Taobao's major anchors like Wei Ya and Austin Li also pushed their live streaming time as early as 6 pm on the 24th. The whole streaming ran for 6 hours, leading to midnight on the 25th. The current sales of Austin Li are RMB¥2.565 billion, 8.498 million units with 106 million viewers. Wei Ya's sales were RMB¥2.379 billion, 6.174 million units, and 104 million viewers.


The brand stores also performed well with their live streaming of this year's 618 pre-sale. According to Tmall data, as of 0:45 on the 25th, Estée Lauder, Xiaomi, Huawei, Lancôme, Skinceuticals, Shiseido, L'Oréal, La Mer, Haier and other ten stores had their sales exceeding RMB¥10 million individually. The performance has been hugely improved compared to the same period last year.



#03 AESOP :

Officially launched on WeChat Store

Aesop, the beauty personal care brand under the Brazilian beauty group Natura & Co, officially launched its official WeChat store. The listing includes skincare, hand care, body care and hair care collections. The average retail price is around RMB¥190-810.


Established in 1987, Aesop officially entered the Chinese market in early 2021 after announcing the animal testing exemption for imported general cosmetics in China. The brand plans to open its first brick & mortar store in Shanghai in Q4.



#04 BOOHEE 「薄荷健康」 :

Completed D Round Financing, With Over RMB¥2 Billion Post- Valuation

On 26th May, the health nutrition brand BOOHEE 「薄荷健康」announced the completion of the D round financing. PBG Capital led the funding, with Fosun Group continued to follow up with the investment. The post-investment valuation sets for more than RMB¥2 billion. BOOHEE will use the funds for additional health products research & development and the upgrade of its App.


Founded in 2008, BOOHEE launched the weight management tool 「Mint Health」 and the food calorie tool 「Mint Food Database」 to provide nutrition and health management services in apps and mini programs. The App has more than 120 million registered users, with an average daily active user of 2 million and an average monthly active user of 10 million. Its food database covers more than 630,000 food and 150 nutrient data. The 「Home Intelligent Nutrition Prescription System」 and the 「Family Health Data Center」 are the newest functions. Subsequently, BOOHEE launched its own health food collections according to the big data collected through the App.



#05 PMPM :

First Anniversary Event – 「Come To Brittany With Me」

Recently, on its first anniversary, the skincare brand PMPM has launched a series of brand campaign with the spirit of "exploration" at its core.The brand name originated from the French 「Pour le Monde Pour le Monde」, which means "go to the world, explore the world".


On 16th May, PMPM broadcasted the scenery of the Brittany coast from the sun to down through live streaming. A special subway train, "Come to Brittany with me", fully decorated in Chengdu, while Brittany coast scenery played on the big screen in the city center.



#06 DIOR:

Dior Launches Classic Perfume Travel Kit

Dior releases the 15ml travel version of 6 new classic perfumes recently. Convenient to carry without losing elegance with the handmade leather case.


The travel set includes six classic perfumes: Gris Dior, Lucky, Rouge Trafalgar, Sakura and La Colle Noire and Rose Kabuki.
