French Highend Eco-Friendly Beauty Brand La Bouche Rouge Secures €10 Million In Financing

The French environmental beauty brand La Bouche Rouge recently announced that it had received 10 million euros of angel round financing (about 71.27 million yuan). The investors are BpiFrance, Mirabaud Asset Management, Chalhoub Group and BPI. The funds obtained will be used to continue expanding the Chinese and Middle East markets and promote the construction of online channels.


The founder, Nicolas Gerlier, worked for the L'Oreal Group. In 2017, he established the high-end eco-friendly beauty brand La Bouche Rouge in France. In the same year, he launched a recyclable lipstick with active ingredients. The brand does not add plastic ingredients in the formula and production process. It provides replacements for lipsticks, eye shadows and other inner cores to reduce plastic pollution caused by repeated purchases of shells. Previously, the brand received 2.5 million euros of financing (about 17.8 million yuan) in 2020 to start the Chinese market and digital development. The flagship store on Tmall has been launched, and offline stores are planned to be opened in 2022.






「To Summer观夏」Launches "Plum Water Sencha" New Fragrance Collection

TO SUMMER launched a new fragrance collection of "Plum Water Sencha", including ceramic essential oil incense sticks, angelica incense burners, flower and grass essential oil incense bricks, essential oil wood core aromatherapy candles, ceramic incense hangings and other products. The price is RMB¥179-598. Landing in Beijing Taikoo Li Guanxia Living Room and Beijing Financial Street Lane Crawford Shopping Center store on the first floor of the makeup area.


On 10th February, TO SUMMER joined hands with SEESAW to launch the "I LOVE YOU" limited drink. This event is located on the second floor of TO SUMMER Shanghai Leisure Garden. The event time is from 10th February to 10th March.




Clean Beauty Brand「Dewy Lab淂意」Completed A Pre-A Round Of Multi Millions Dollars Financing

The clean beauty brand DEWY LAB has completed a Pre-A round of financing of tens of millions of dollars, led by Huachuang Capital and followed by Xiaohongshu. The brand has completed three rounds of funding within one year, and it is also the first cosmetics brand invested by Xiaohongshu.


DEWY LAB was founded in 2020, with women aged 25-35 as the leading customer group, and insists on creating classic makeup products with "pure ingredients" and "excellent makeup effects". It has formed three significant categories: powder cream, concealer, and loose powder. In the product matrix, the unit price per customer is RMB¥200+, and the monthly sales of the product through self-operated channels have reached RMB¥5 million within half a year since the launch. In November 2021, the sales exceeded RMB¥10 million during double 11.




Korean Makeup Brand「HERA赫妍」Gradually Closed Down Offline Counters

Amorepacific Group's brand HERA is reported to have closed offline counters in China one after another and will close the WeChat mall at the end of the month.


Amorepacific Group responded that due to the adjustment of business channels and strategic development, HERA WeChat mall would be closed on 25th March. Consumers can still make purchases through the HERA Tmall flagship store. However, the company did not respond to the complete withdrawal of offline counters.


In July 2016, the HERA brand of Amorepacific Group opened its first offline counter in Beijing and officially announced its entry into the Chinese market.




Men's Lifestyle Brand「TAGX」Completes Tens Of Millions Pre-A Round Of Financing

The men's lifestyle brand TAGX announced the completion of tens of millions of yuan in Pre-A round of financing, which CONFITOP Capital invested. The funds obtained in this round will be used to develop product processes, expand product lines, and cooperate with the e-commerce membership club VTN. Cooperative online channels and offline store layout.


Founded in 2021, TAGX is a men's lifestyle brand targeting mid-to-high-end lines. The brand has jointly launched the Dolphin Velvet series of underwear with the New York men's underwear brand 2xist. The product combines ergonomic design and skin-friendly fabric technology. It is also the first product of TAGX. The brand plans to launch different categories such as underwear, T-shirts, towels, fragrances, etc., to provide one-stop shopping services for male consumers. At present, TAGX online channels cover VTN and Tmall flagship store.



Trend Sports Brand 「STARTER」Completes US$40 million In Series C Financing

The international trend sports brand STARTER has completed a US$40 million Series C financing, led by QY Capital, followed by Sequoia China, Disu Fashion, and M31 Capital.


Founded in 1971, STARTER features sports, hip-hop, and trends. It officially entered China in 2019. Its products cover clothes, shoes, accessories, etc. It has already landed on the Tmall flagship store online and deployed hundreds of stores in first and second-tier cities across the country.
