Beauty Retailer「ONLY WRITE独写」Completed RMB¥45 Million A Round

Beauty retailer ONLY WRITE announced the completion of an RMB¥45 million round of financing, exclusively invested by CMC Capital Partners, and Yunmu Capital served as the exclusive financial advisor. The brand will mainly use this round of funding for store expansion and brand building.


ONLY WRITE was established in 2020 and has launched 29 stores so far, covering 15 provinces and municipalities. The store adopts a full till-less automatic shopping model. Consumers can complete the shopping alone and wait for the announcement to pick up the goods in the packing area after payment. At the same time, ONLY WRITE provides personalised beauty services by collecting consumer preference data during shopping. At present, ONLY WRITE has introduced more than 3000 cosmetics, premium samples, facial masks, skincare, personal care, fragrances and other categories, covering more than 500 brands. In September, ONLY WRITE opened the country's first flagship store in Hangzhou Binjiang Powerlong, adding a beverage and food area.



Colour Lenses Brand「MOODY」Completed Over RMB¥1 Billion In C Round

"Weimu (Shanghai) Technology Co., Ltd.", the parent company of the colour lenses brand MOODY, has recently completed a series C financing of more than RMB¥1 billion. 5Y Capital and KKR jointly led this round of funding, with old shareholders of MOODY following. The brand will use this round of financing for product R&D and upgrades. Further strengthening the scientific research teams and R&D centres will consolidate MOODY's core competitiveness and leading position in China's colour lenses industry and accelerate the company's international development layout.


MOODY was established in Shanghai in 2019. It continues to launch high-quality, well-designed and short-sale cosmetic contact lenses focusing on the "visualisation of inner emotions" concept. MOODY successively completed round B and B+ financing rounds in January and February of this year with an approximately RMB¥380 million total value.




Technology 3C Brand「ANGRY MIAO怒喵科技」Received RMB¥50 Million In Series A

Technology 3C trendy brand ANGRY MIAO announced that it had received RMB¥50 million in Series A financing, exclusively invested by Dragon Ball Capital. It will use this round of funding for the research and development of the new TWS headset. After the funding, the company's valuation is close to US$100 million.


Established in 2019, ANGRY MIAO aimed at young and high-income "geeks" who love design, focusing on high-end trendy technology products. The brand has already launched limited products such as mechanical keyboards, mouse accessories, charging heads, charging cables, and peripherals for fashion games. In December 2021, the popular product "TWS True Wireless Bluetooth Noise Cancelling Headphones" will also be released.


In terms of marketing, the brand adopts the "Community Driven Creation" model. In the early stage, product information was released mainly in overseas online communities such as Reddit and Discord, finally leading to Shopify stores sales. At present, ANGRY MIAO has also established an online product community in China, which can also be purchased through the official website and WeChat mall.




Life eCommerce Platform「XIAOMI YOUPIN小米有品」Launches Lifestyle Consumer Brand「DAILY ELEMENTS日常元素」

The lifestyle eCommerce platform "Xiaomi Youpin" officially launched the new lifestyle consumer brand DAILY ELEMENTS.


DAILY ELEMENTS focus on promoting products with a sense of science and technology. The brand wants to create a new life experience for consumers through new materials, technologies, and processes. At present, the brand has launched products such as cotton socks, laundry beads, and toilet wipes, all of which have been launched on the Xiaomi Youpin platform.


Xiaomi Youpin is a boutique lifestyle eCommerce platform owned by Xiaomi and an essential part of Xiaomi's "new retail" strategy. The brand wants to continue the "millet-style price-performance ratio" in the field of home life. Currently, its products cover different consumer goods categories such as home furnishings, daily use, kitchen and home appliances.




Traditional Health Snack Brand「TIPSYOU」Receives Ten Million Angel Round Financing

The traditional receipt health snack brand TIPSYOU announced that it had received a ten-million-level angel financing round, but the investor has not announced it. TIPSYOU will use this financing round for technology research and development, industrial chain integration, market expansion and team building.


Established in 2020, and TIPSYOU's main product is gummy. At present, the brand has launched the "Tips" series, including "Hey! Let's Eat Candy", "Good Night Candy", and "Blingy Eye Candy" to meet consumers' needs for anti-sugar, relaxation and eyes protection.


TIPSYOU will soon launch the "Receipt" series, including "Peachy", "Smoothing", and "Vitality", with Chinese herbal medicine as the formula. They are respectively for the deficiency of qi and blood, laxative detoxification and the three needs of invigorating the spleen and removing dampness. In terms of research and development, TIPSYOU's research and development laboratory, in conjunction with the Chinese Academy of Molecular Research and other institutions, performs reduction extraction of the effective ingredients in Chinese herbal medicines.



「GENKI FOREST元气森林」Will Complete A New Round Of US$15 Billion Valuation Financing

GENKI FOREST is about to complete a new round of nearly US$200 million in the financing, with a post-investment valuation of approximately US$15 billion. Temasek will lead the investment, followed by Sequoia China, Warburg Pincus and other old shareholders. This round of financing opened in July 2021, only more than 3 months after the end of its previous round of financing.


Founded in 2016, GENKI FOREST entered the market with "burning tea". Since then, it has successively launched sparkling water with "0 sugar, 0 fat and 0 calories", "Genki Forest Milk Tea", "Full Score!" Star products such as "fibre tea" corn silk tea. Since 2020, GENKI FOREST has also been involved in meat products, snacks, coffee, alcohol and other fields in shares and acquisitions.
