MOODY's Parent Company Announced Its Professional Personal Care brand 「PINPOINT 标点」

Moody Beauty, the parent company for MOODY official announced its professional personal care brand 「PINPOINT 标点」。


Set for launch in August 2021, PINPOINT is a professional personal care brand oriented to the public and focusing on aesthetics. The first "SEA" collection has 11 products, including body lotion, shower gel, makeup remover, hand cream, hair mask, etc. Focus on sea fennel extracted from stem cells and other marine ingredients such as seaweed highlights its benefit for regulating sebum balance and strengthening the skin barrier. It will make available through its official Tmall flagship store this fall.


Hygiene Brands「HALFIST半懒」Comepleted Multi-million Dollar Angel + Round

The hygiene brand HALFIST completed a multi-million dollar angel + round of financing, exclusively invested by Lightspeed China. The brand will mainly use this round of funding for marketing promotion and new product research and development. On 20th Mar, it completed a multi-million dollar angel round of financing, invested by K2VC.


Established in March 2020, HALFIST focuses on mid-to-high-end household cleaning, with Gen Z as its core users. It started with face towels, focused on products for toilet hygiene. In the future, it will further expand laundry, kitchen and bathroom products, personal cleansing and more; the price range is between the traditional household brand and the Japanese household brand.



HELEN'S PUB 海伦司小酒馆」Went Public, With Market Value Rose to HK$30 Billion

HELEN'S PUB was officially listed on the Stock Exchange. After the IPO, its market value reached HK$30 billion. It is also the first listed public share for the pub category.


The first HELEN'S PUB opened in Wudaokou, Beijing, on 31st Oct 2009. As of August 2021, the brand operates 528 directly operated pubs in 101 cities across the country.


According to the prospectus,

REVENUE: In the first quarter of 2021 was RMB¥368.6 million, a year-on-year increase of 494.5%. 2020 revenue was RMB¥817.9 million, mainly due to the impact of the 2020 epidemic; ;


PUB LOCATION: The number of pubs operating in first-tier, second-tier, third-tier and lower cities is 53, 214, and 106 respectively, mainly in East China and Central South;


PRODUCTS: A total of 41 products are available, including 24 alcoholic beverages, 8 snacks, 6 non-alcoholic beverages and 3 other products. Its alcohol products include Helen's draft beer, craft beer, fruit beer and milk beer, and third-party brands such as Budweiser and Corona.




Gender-Neutral Brand「BOSIE伯喜」receives Strategic Investment From Bilibili

Founded in Beijing in 2017, BOSIE is a cutting-edge appeal brand focusing on gender-neutral design. It emphasises "Beyond Boundaries" and explores fashion styles suitable for people of different genders, ages, and regions. In June 2021, BOSIE's first flagship store landed in Shanghai, covering an area of 2,000 m2, including RTW, catering, retail, pets and other section. It has opened 24 stores across Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Wuhan, Zhengzhou.



Century-old Sports Fashion Brand 「FILA」 × Japanese Street Brand 「HAVE A GOOD TIME」IP Collaboration Collection

The century-old sports fashion brand FILA co-branded the Japanese street brand HAVE A GOOD TIME to officially launch seasonal new products, with FILA brand ambassador Cai Xukun cast within the launching video. On 6th Aug, FILA FUSION also co-branded with the Japanese outdoor brand WHITE MOUNTAINEERING.


Founded in Italy in 1911, FILA targeted the middle class between 20 and 45, focusing on fashion and sporty looks. In 2009, the trademark operation rights of the FILA brand in mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau were acquired by Anta Group.




Collectable Toy Brand「52TOYS」Receives RMB¥400 Million In Series C

Collectable toy brand 52TOYS announced that it had received RMB¥400 million in Series C financing, jointly led by CY ZONE and Guozhong Venture Capital. According to the brand, this will be the most valuable financing in the fashion industry in 2021. The funds raised in this round will be used for product research and development, the launch of local Chinese toy brands, the construction of China's toy collection ecology, and the investment and incubation of local artists and designers.


52TOYS emphasises "using collectable toys to convey Chinese culture" and has launched creative visual identities such as "Lady Yoga", "Lady Daily", "Terracotta Warriors in Battle", and "Plank Support". These visuals elements are inspired by traditional Chinese culture.


In 2021, 52TOYS also created the "Panda Roll" series based on the national treasure panda's image, showing the national treasure's cuddly characteristics.


52TOYS's model is "offline sales channels + offline direct brand stores" at the channel level. The latter will also be combined with local culture —symbolic elements such as Mahjong and hot pot in Chengdu local culture.
